Shuttle Conveyors
Overview:
- A shuttle conveyor is a belt conveyor that runs on a rail system. It is capable of moving in either direction and filling multiple storage bins. The length of the conveyor is typically half of the rails to allow for multiple discharge locations.
Salient Features:
- Reversible Belt Direction: The conveyor can discharge continuously over a long distance in either direction.
- Stationary Inlet: A stationary material feed chute directs processed material to a central location, eliminating the need for complex chute systems or diverters.
- Remote/Automation: Reversing shuttle conveyors can be controlled remotely or automatically, reducing labor costs.
